I think I’m getting the hang of this poker thing…

My bank reached $130 today. I’ve gotten pretty good at tripling up at the $.05/$.10 tables (with a $2 buy-in), and my wife has gotten really good at $1 tournaments, placing in a money position about 50% of the time.

Bad Breaks + Real Money Positions

Had a few bad breaks tonight. I don’t think I played poorly like I did yesterday, I just hit a few brutal losses.
First I flopped Ace trips and lost to a straight.

Played some bad poker tonight.

I am still learning to control my emotions. I’m ok with losing to good hands, but I get really agitated when I make stupid mistakes, e.g. getting too excited about a straight when there’s a potential flush on the table. These guys were so easy to read too- I just wasn’t paying attention. Ugh.
