Big vs. Little Pots

I stumbled on to Learn-Texas-Holdem.com today and this is easily my favorite poker site thus far. The articles are really good and the writers have a very conversational tone.

Here’s a tip (from the No Limit Texas Hold’em Strategy article) that I’d like t learn sooner rather than later:

Remember you are here to win some big pots, not a lot of little ones.

I have found myself looking over the stats and wondering why, even though I won 60% of the hands I took to the river, I still lost. But that statement is the key. I win lots of little pots and hardly ever get a big one. I really need to work on this…
